Together with interested breeders, we are developing new bed and balcony plants, indoor plants, cut flowers and decorative bushes with improved disease resistance or resistence against dry conditions, cold and salt.

We are working on the necessary transformation protocols and are selecting prototypes which are then introduced into the breeding programs of our partners. Only an optimal integration of biotechnology and traditional breeding methods will allow an economically successful development of transgenic ornamental varieties.

Transgenic plants require extensive testing and approval procedures before they can be brought to market. In agreement with our partners, we undertake the necessary tests, present the required data and documentation and follow the procedures necessary with the responsible officials until approval.
